Youth For Christ Canada

Youth for Christ is committed to impacting the youth of our nation. Through broad exposure to the Christian message and discipling those who respond, leaders will surface who will help to shape Canada's future.

The teen population contains tomorrow's leaders. The pressure to conform and to compete is a victory for some and a life challenge for others. Youth for Christ recognizes the need to help train and equip young leaders with the values of Christ while demonstrating those values through the care of troubled and challenged teens. Our strategies reflect this balanced approach through diversity of ministry in partnership with the Body of Christ.

Helping to shape the future is at the heart of what YFC Canada is all about. One third of the population is under the age of 25 and the opportunity before us as youth specialists is enormous. Young people are looking for a truth that works and today's culture is longing to know God. Youth for Christ communicates in ways that are relevant to this generation.

Approximately 5.4 million people are enrolled in elementary and secondary schools with 2.4 million in grades 7-12. With a focus on junior and senior high school ministries, YFC Canada aims to take the gospel to the youth of the nation and trust God to surface leaders for the future who can become part of His plan for our nation.

There are more than 420,000 teenagers who are enrolled in post secondary education. Another 300,000 are not enrolled in schools and are either in the workforce or unemployed. YFC Canada is committed to reaching these young people through the expansion of existing strategies, the development of new methods and partnerships with ministries who share our vision.

Our Mission:

YFC reaches young people everywhere, working together with the local church and other like-minded partners to raise up lifelong followers of Jesus who lead by their godliness in lifestyle, devotion to the Word of God and prayer, passion for sharing the love of Christ and commitment to social involvement.
